This Level 3 18 Hour First Aid Course is aimed at Schools or workplaces that are larger in size, are more high-risk (such as places with machinery) or have lots of employees and pupils. The course is always tailored to be relevant to your school or workplace. It is ideal for teachers who will lead residential or overseas trips, or Heads of Dept in subjects such as DT, sport or science, or Estates teams.
It is a very thorough course that demands a good level of education, it both covers medical conditions such as diabetes, medical emergencies such as heart attacks, and injuries such as fractures and severe burns. Accordingly, due to the breadth of topics covered, it takes 3 days, but this can run over a number of sessions. There are plenty of practical elements to the course and is completed with some practical assessments and a short, paper-based test at the end of day 3.
