This Level 3 First Aid at Work regulated course is aimed at Schools or workplaces that are larger in size, and are more high risk (such as places with DT depts, maintenance yards, kitchens etc). It is also the qualification to take if you have lots of employees or pupils on site. It is a thorough course, which covers medical conditions such as diabetes, medical emergencies such as heart attacks, and injuries such as fractures and severe burns, and the course is made relevant to school, with experienced educators delivering content who will provide many relevant examples and scenarios to your workplace.
The course will not be “Death by Powerpoint”, but will contain a wealth of different learning strategies. The instructor will use interactive learning experiences that make attendance an enjoyable process.
The First Aid at Work course is a requalification course. You are only eligible for this course if you have completed a full First Aid at Work course within the last 3 years. It only takes 2 days (rather than 3) as the material will be familiar. There are plenty of practical elements to the course and at the end of the two days there is a short, paper-based test at the end.
